Our Story

Atlantika Dance opened its doors on May 1, 2025, with a clear purpose: to make exceptional dance education and performing arts opportunities accessible to our community. Founded as a not-for-profit performing arts school, Atlantika Dance was created to nurture creativity, inspire lifelong learning, and advance the arts by providing meaningful educational experiences for children, youth, and adults.

Our approach extends beyond teaching dance steps. We believe dance is a powerful tool for developing confidence, discipline, resilience, creativity, and meaningful social connections. Every program is designed to support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our participants while fostering an appreciation for the performing arts in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

At Atlantika Dance, students learn from experienced professional dancers, educators, choreographers, and guest artists who bring diverse expertise and real-world experience into the studio. Through mentorship, personal coaching, and high-quality instruction, participants are encouraged to develop technical skills, artistic expression, leadership, and a lifelong love of learning.

Unlike traditional competitive dance studios, Atlantika Dance is dedicated to performance, education, and community engagement. We present two to three full-length productions each year, providing meaningful performance experiences while celebrating local talent and contributing to the cultural life of our region. Throughout the year, we offer three program terms, summer camps, workshops, and drop-in classes to ensure dance remains accessible to learners at every stage of life.

Our programs welcome preschoolers through adults of all ages, abilities, and genders. As a non-denominational organization, we celebrate each individual and strive to create a supportive community where everyone belongs, every voice is valued, and every person has the opportunity to discover the joy and lifelong benefits of dance.

Our Mission

Atlantika Dance exists to enrich the lives of children, youth, and our community by expanding access to dance, arts education, and inclusive cultural experiences. We believe every person deserves the opportunity to experience the transformative power of dance, regardless of age, ability, or financial circumstances.

Through accessible programs, meaningful performance opportunities, and community partnerships, we foster creativity, confidence, physical literacy, self-expression, collaboration, and lifelong learning. We are committed to creating welcoming spaces where participants develop artistic skills, strengthen social connections, build resilience, and gain a deeper appreciation for the performing arts.

Our Vision

We envision a community where every child, youth, and individual has equitable access to the arts and the opportunity to learn, create, and thrive through dance.

Through inclusive arts education, community engagement, and meaningful cultural experiences, we aspire to build healthier, more connected communities where creativity is celebrated, barriers to participation are removed, and the performing arts enrich the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds.
