CJ Norris (he/him) is a multi-passionate performing artist, creator, arts educator, and community leader. You may have seen him on stage in performances across Moncton, where he’s been named a ‘Platinum Entertainer’ twice in the Community Votes program. Stage highlights include playing Angel in RENT (Dalhousie Theatre Society), Scuttle in The Little Mermaid, and Pugsley in The Addams Family (Capitol Theatre). You may have also seen him performing in drag at local Pride events, or as his character “Ruby” (a sassy Mrs. Claus) in his annual cabaret Jingle Belle.

CJ is also a speaker and event host, having presented for MAGMA, TD, THE FRYE Festival, the Music NB Awards, and more.
As an arts leader, CJ teaches regularly at the Capitol Theatre Academy, and Creative Juiceworks, his own initiative that offers workshops in acting and improv. He has also presented programming for organizations like Artslink NB, Chroma NB, and Pride in Education. Additionally, he does one-on-one mentoring through Anglophone East’s IDEA Centre, and the JL Legacy Fund.
CJ is thrilled to join the faculty at Atlantika Dance, offering a new Musical Theatre class!
People have called CJ’s sessions “an open, engaging, energetic, truly judgement free safe space.” CJ’s mission as an artist is to bridge social gaps through joy, humour, and fearless self-expression. His motto is “Art is the universal language.”
