Payment Policies
Tuition payment is now required in full before classes begin. Pre-Professional students may enrol in our Auto-Pay program, which provides equalized payments throughout the school year. Ensemble and Company families may also enrol in Auto-Pay through their Studio Pro Parent Portal and may opt out at any time.
Refund Policy
Refunds may be issued when request is accompanied by a doctor’s note stating inability to participate. All other refunds for tuition will be processed as a credit on your account, usable toward other classes or products.
Class Cancellation Policy
Weather-related closures will not follow school closures, as we recognise the road conditions can change throughout the day/evening. Cancellation of classes due to inclement weather will be announced a minimum of 3 hours prior to the class commencing. Cancellations will be announced via email to all students and parents, on our Instagram (feed and stories), as well as our Facebook (feed and stories). Please check one of these places before heading to the studio on days where the weather may be an issue.
Student Code of Conduct
At Atlantika Dance we strive to create an environment that combines structure and discipline with inspiring and rewarding opportunities to foster growth and development in your dancer. The guidelines listed here are provided to preserve the long history of discipline in dance and show respect to the dance professionals who lead the classes.
Atlantika believes that by providing a learning environment where students are fostered creatively and mentored artistically, it allows the true artist in everyone to come to life. Our professional instructors will provide a safe, positive and educational environment in every class and expect that every student will reciprocate their efforts by respecting our code of conduct.
1. Students are required to display a courteous manner at all times and comply with the rules of the school. No foul language anywhere will be tolerated.
2. Students are to arrive on time to class and rehearsal (calculate 5-10 minutes before class to allow time to change and stretch).
3. That students do not wear jewellery (small earrings are ok).
4. Students are to arrive fully groomed – hair must be up and out of face for all classes and rehearsals. Proper ballet bun required for all ballet and pointe classes.
5. Students arrive with the proper class attire.
6. Students or parents are required to inform Atlantika beforehand if they will be late or absent.
7. Disruptive classroom conduct, chronic tardiness and inappropriate behaviour or appearance may result in dismissal from class.
8. That students respect all studio equipment (no leaning or banging on of mirrors or barres, and no touching of sound/stereo system).
9. No electronic devices are allowed to be brought into the studio (cell phone, iPods, MP3 players) – please leave these items in the change room or at home. Atlantika is not to be held responsible for lost or stolen articles.
10. All students are encouraged to use the restrooms before the start of class to minimise disruption during teaching.
Bullying, harassment and intimidation of fellow dancers will not be tolerated. Any such behaviour on the part of a student may result in dismissal from the class and ultimately in suspension from the school.
