Erin Atkinson

Erin Atkinson is a classically trained ballet dancer and choreographer whose professional journey has taken her across Canada, Europe, and the United States.

She began her training at Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School (2011), graduating from

the Professional Division in 2016. Since then, she has worked with renowned companies including Orlando Ballet, English National Ballet, Atlantic Ballet of Canada, Ballet Cymru, Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, etc.

Erin’s repertoire spans timeless classics such as Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and Romeo and Juliet, as well as contemporary works by celebrated choreographers including Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Paul Taylor, Twyla Tharp, George Balanchine, Lila York, and Septime Weber to name a few. She has danced featured roles in a wide range of productions, from full-length ballets to mixed programs and international tours.

As a choreographer, Erin has created original works for festivals, dance collectives, music videos, and pre-professional and professional training programs. Her choreography has been recognized with multiple awards and has been commissioned by educational institutions and collaborative arts initiatives. She has also held positions as guest choreographer and artist-in-residence, contributing to the development of emerging dancers and new performance works.

Alongside her dance career, Erin is a STOTT Pilates instructor with a specialization in functional movement and mobility. She teaches Pilates and movement-based fitness classes that focus on alignment, injury prevention, and conditioning for dancers and athletes
